Need an upgrade at Goalie, would this get you Raanta?

Description
Jets need an upgrade at Goalie after that pathetic attempt against MTL its obvious. So I thought a guy like Raanta who would never get a shot at the starting job in NYR behind the King would be someone who would want to move and try and establish himself as a starter. So when making the trade i thought of what the Rangers got value wise for Talbot. They received a 2nd, 3rd and 7th round pick for him. Working off that, i fugured a 2nd and Marko Dano who is a good young 3rd line player with upside and a 5th should probably get him. Could be way off on this, but the Jets need to do something to improve the Goaltending... anything!!!

Stafford is getting hot now with Laine being down and his trade value is rising. I chose Montreal because they have a good amount of injuries and Winnipeg trying to maximize the return would be willing to eat some of his cap hit in order to get a 2nd Round Pick. Montreal having 2 might be willing to make this deal.

Hutchinson is just dumping him to whoever for a 7th round pick, call it square.

I think they do it too. Maybe give them Hutchinson instead of the 5th bc none of their goalie prospects are ready to backup yet.

Like it or not, the Jets have to stay with Hellebuyck until after the expansion draft. At that point they then need to throw money/prospects out to acquire a quality proven netminder to push Hellebuyck for playing time. The Hutchinson experiment is over, but again, the Jets need to keep him until after the expansion draft to expose a keeper that dressed for enough games and under contract for 2017-18. Hellebuyck and Comrie will likely be the goalies of the future, but the roster for next season is talented enough to make a run into the playoffs with reliable goaltending.

While Raanta is a good backup, that's a big price to pay for a guy that hasn't proven he can handle a starter's workload. While I think he'd be able to handle it, I'm not sure if the Jets would want him to try, even without getting into the Hellebyuck discussion.

No way the Rangers do this. #1 The Rangers are already log jammed at the Forward position and wouldn't have a place to gain value from Dano but need defenseman to upgrade over the bought out Dan Girardi and preferably a RHD, this deal doesn't solve that main weakness from a Rangers standpoint and adds another forward to the backlog upfront while weakening our goaltender. Even getting Hutchinson back in this trade means that the Rangers expose Hutchinson in the expansion draft but he likely has less value to Las Vegas and makes us more likely to lose a forward than losing Raanta in the expansion draft.
