The streak is coming to an end

Created by: bwish13
Team: 2016-17 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 13, 2017

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Detroit has been struggling through this season. They need to start over and begin again. Sell the vets that are on shorter contracts.

1. Columbus needs a good scoring winger. Detroit gets a pick, and a possible future winger.

2. Montreal needs to get bigger, and grittier. Steve Ott gives them guy that can take care of the other players and Price. Right now they only have Weber and he can only be on some of the time. Detroit is potentially getting a better offensive force in Lehkonen that they can use in the future.

3. Chicago gets a solid D-man for 2 years, and doesn't have to pay big time like they will to keep Campbell or go to the open market. Detroit gets contract off their hands and opens up cap space for the next year to move so new pieces in.

Let me know if the value is off.
Columbus is the biggest question because I'm not sure they want to go all in this year or wait until next year as most of their players are under contract for another year.

Lol Jackets aren't trading one of their top prospects - who is being groomed to be Cam Atkinson's evil twin - for Thomas Vanek. No interest in Vanek whatsoever, actually.

That Chicago trade is bad. You're getting no value back for green who you could actually use to get value with the need for right shot puck moving defenseman. And toots rolls over in his grave having to come back to Detroit

You think Montreal is going to trade a 21 year old top 6 winger on pace for over 20 goals for Steve Ott?

Man that Chicago trade is brutal for Detroit, So we retain half on both Miller and Green for B Campbell and J Tootoo didn't even know Tootoo was still playing plus a 5th rounder. Get real here if Holland is retaining $3 million on Green he can easily get a 1st rounder and a decent prospect this is bad for Detroit. And sorry the Columbus and Montreal deals are a joke for the Jackets and Habs.
