While I'm not sure Edmonton's wining record hinges on Bear's 17 minutes a night, I'm certainly not bashing him. He's a decent bottom 4 D man, but Ottawa has Zub who I think is better, Brannstrom who prefer to play the right side and likely end up there once Sanderson joins us, Zaitsev for 3 more years, Josh Brown for 1 more year, JBD who likely pushes Josh Brown to the 7th spot next season, and Lassi Thomson who has started to put it together in the AHL. Ottawa is also 7-2-1 in the last ten and has looked very good in their own end. Connor Brown leads our team in goals, takeaways, SH TOI, and leads the league in shorthanded goals. It's a good offer, but it's not a move Ottawa should be making IMO.
