Parenteau Is an ok player and the Blues have a slight need for a RW but Barbashev is their top center prospect & currently 6th overall in points in the AHl. I can't see the Blues parting with Barbashev for Parenteau let alone adding a 2nd.

Agreed, but Parayko is no prospect. He's easily the 2nd best defenseman on the Blues behind Pietrangelo. To that point Parayko is already better than Pietrangelo at a few things like stick work, shot, & skating.

The value just isn't close. Parayko would return an elite young center. Like mentioned already, think Draisaitl, Nylander, type deals, not a 33 year old winger that will be a UFA.

A prospect would be someone like Schmaltz, Dunn, Walman etc...
