Coleman I wouldn’t do if Schwartz signs. Money saved bring back smith on a one year deal to bridge the gap too soon to bring up a goalie.

Not sure why people are so high on Scwhartz, he's undersized and scores okay for the money but why not Coleman or Tatar if you're going undersized. Tatar brings more scoring, Coleman more physicality, similar scoring less cost. Why not someone with size like Saad.

I missed that you had Coleman on the right, that's fine but I don't think we do three UFA forwards (RNH, Scwartz, Coleman), we have Holloway and Lavoie who will be pushing soon and Nurse to resign. Seems like 3 forwards would push us to cap hell moving forward and then it's tough to maneuver when there are issues.

Yah I’d probably offer a 1st with Neal/Koskinen for them to take 1 of those

I think Holland grinds Yamamoto down a lot more than that. He doesn't have arb rights... Kenny got Bear to sign 2 x $2M after he played a far greater role for the Oilers - 1RHD - so I don't think Yamamoto does much better than that TBH. The extra year might be worth an extra million, $7.5M over 3 years = $2.5M (1.5 + 2.5 + 3.5).

Why give Schwartz a 4-year deal? He's 29 this summer and very injury-prone... I think he'll be a show-me-deal candidate just like Barrie was last summer: 1 year at under $4M in order to rebuild his value. The Oilers should sign at least one such guy every year.
