He's certainly not playing like it. He's having one of the best years of his whole career.

I don't think we'd be willing to trade Pesce. He is one of our core pieces on defense on a team friendly contract.

Brett Pesce and John Marino are really good. Really, really good. You could add a first-round pick to either one of those deals and both teams would still say No.

True, but if I were Anaheim, I would have had Getzlaf and Henrique out a long time ago. I don't know about Fowler, but I would have had those two gone. Then Staal would have had a place to fit (but we're obviously not trading him). I definitely agree with your point though because the Ducks are looking to bring in younger players for sure.
