Initial Creation Date: May 20, 2021

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Rangers add veteran leadership to the Center position. While becoming a "heavier" team to play against.

Bruins- Kreider waives NMC to go back home to Boston. Rangers include 2 prospects. Bruins send underperformer Debrusk. Young Dman in Lauzon and depth forward Lazar.

Sharks go into full rebuild mode finally. I feel the compensation is adequate since Couture is now 32. 2 1sts, a blue chip Dman and a bottom 6 forward may be too steep. But the retention of salary drives up the price slightly.

Blues receive a top 10 Center in the league for a top 6-8 Center. Debrusk is a 2nd/3rd line player add in the 4th rounder I think that is fairly accurate compensation.

Calgary- Tkachuk being in his early 20's was the steepest price. Georgiev is a 1B goalie could eventually become the full time started depending on Markstrom. Strome has developed into a solid point getting 2nd line center. Kravstov is 21 year old Blue Chip Prospect. Robertson is a potential 4-5 Defenseman if there needs to be a stronger Dman prospect could maybe go with Zac Jones. You could add in a pick or another prospect to replace Kravstov other than Lafreniere.

UFA
Simmonds adds quality Grit and Presence to the 4th Line
Coleman adds quality Veteran and Utility Player attitude to 3rd Line
Halak Provides insurance to the backup role and Kincaid is there in case Halak struggles or injury.

Oof. That sucks man. I mean being in the Pacific helps a little with chances at the playoffs, but even then that's tough sledding to get past Vegas and Colorado.

Yeah exactly. Even if we do somehow slip into the playoffs, we're gonna get mauled in the first round by the top seed(s). Ahh well it was a good run being in the playoffs for like 15 years straight anyways. Just gotta hope the future ends up working out.

When you say term what is your definition of term? 4+ 5+ years? or is max term of 8?

Fox is a top 5 imo correct. My final thing that I was attempting to say was that the forwards have been given the exorbitant amount of money after their RFA contracts. Trophy nominations or not. There is no example of an RFA Dman getting that money. I understand the Doughty comparison I am merely pointing we have not seen that amount of money double digits for that position unless they are coming off a bridge deal of some type around the age of 25 or 26. Would it be undeserving for Fox to be the first to earn such a contract no. However, I do not think the market warrants it at this time.

I will stay at my prediction of 8.5x 5 years. That gives Fox the ability to earn even more in his age 29 year
