That's a lot to give up for a guy with a screwed up neck. Not to mention the team is worth off both in short and long term.

We don't need another negative impact dman in Seth Jones or a negative impact forward in Domi.

It's a sly but fair trade - if I'm the Sabres I take the deal but immediately try to trade the three players

Agreed as long as I have deals for Laine and Jones pretty much in place already. I keep Domi though. Give him a chance at top two C to shelter Cozens/Mittelstadt for a bit. See what happens.

What?!? This trade is complete f*cking bull. How are you guys not taking it an running? Why is it debatable if you accept. Jack Eichel is a human being, not the second coming of Christ. This trade is beyond idiotic for Columbus, not a prayer Buffalo declined it. Jarmo would be fired on site if this trade happened

I described it as a sly but fair trade because it's less than what it seems - Seth Jones and Max Domi are one year rentals -Laine doesn't have to be but you probably going to overpay dramatically to get term - two of the first rounders are late picks in a meh draft - I'm not saying the trade is unfair there is value there but the Sabres will have to be smart to get maximum value out and realize the players may have more value to teams on a closing window to make a cup run - for example maybe Laine and Skinner trade to Seattle, Maybe Seth Jones to WPG for a pick and a good prospect, Domi you probably keep for a year and use him as a media shield for your young players.

but the Sabres will have to be smart to get maximum value out

Well, when you put it that way...that's terrifying for Sabres fans lol

That 2022 first rounder probably ends up being a low draft pick and gives buffalo 2 good shots to get Wright, Lambert, or savoie. Or even 2/3 of them

That was a joke lmao, I obviously don't think you need to add 10 firsts
