So, what you're suggesting is that the Hawks trade a 2nd round pick away...just to leave Vanecek unprotected and have Seattle take him? The Hawks are protecting Lankinen...even if Vanecek is on their team.

Sprong is exactly what this team needs: young, fast, hungry, cost controlled. They should be looking to add another Sprong, not let one go for nothing.

I agree with protecting oshie, the caps need to keep him, But they also need to keep Sprong because as Kylonetic8 said



He is exactly what they need for those reasons. They should not trade vanecek and they should protect Sprong just incase. But if they don't trade vanecek than there is a good chance Seattle takes him and than they get to keep everyone they need.

My hope would be Seattle takes Dillon or Schultz as those tow are pretty replacable imo

Dillon is who I want gone, cap hit is high enough it would help and he's easily replaceable with a...younger hungrier cost controlled guy in our system Fehervary (or Alex).

Agreed, I like Dillon's game, but he is easy to replace with a younger guy that you described.
