If your asking what would be willing to add to have a deal built around all those pieces.
Interesting proposition that is altering things enough I’d be willing to bring a Holloway broberg Bouchard into the conversation not all but one maybe two and I’m not one to toss prospects of that quality into trades like most around this site.

To me that trade doesn't make sense for the Oilers. Oilers could just resign Barrie for similar money and could sign someone like Blake Coleman who has similar numbers as Arvidsson

Ellis >>> Barrie, but I get what you’re saying.

I could see Edmonton grabbing Arvidsson but I do not see the need for Ellis due to Klefbolm most likely coming back next season.

As for the package for Arvidsson probs Broberg and some picks

I guess you have seen how Barrie fits with this team and he was the top scoring D in the league... There is risk with Ellis probably better defensively plbut you are giving assets to get him.

Plus the conversation in Edmonton fans was Bouchard might be able to do enough next year at much smaller cap hit

Why Arvidsson? Blake Coleman has similar stats and is a FA.

Coleman works more as a third line player. He can be a 2nd line guy but over the years in both NJ and Tampa they have found he works best on their 3rd lines. As for Arvidsson he thrives in a top 6 role and fits more into Mcdavids playstyle
