yes, Howden is young, but he's not good at all. Either way, when they make the Eichel trade Jack they need good forward prospects and draft picks.

oilers would definitely think about that trade. if klefbom or koskinen is gone thatd allow the oilers to sign a big name dman in bears place and address the top 6 winger isssue

I think the Oilers would be more likely to throw in another asset to avoid retention on Neal (already retained on Lucic). A lot of this would hinge on what Reinhart is looking for in a contract. Dumping Neals contract and a relatively inexpensive Dman could be thrown out the window pretty quick if the Oilers need to sign a UFA RHD and Reinhart wants $$$.

- a gauranteed top line player mid-long term
- a gauranteed depth piece cost controlled long term
- a project development prospect (top line or bust)
- a high 2nd or low 1st round pick

or

- at least one high 1st round pick
- and a bunch of mid - low 1st round pick
