He'll be 31 by the time the next season rolls around, and he had a horrible stint with TB. I would doubt they bring him back, and if they do, I don't see a team giving him that high of a raise. If he wants term on the wrong side of 30, he should be willing to take a discount. Or let another team overpay him that much, like Van did with Tyler Myers. I wouldn't sign him for any more than 3.75m AAV.

After thinking about it for Jones, I guess this is fair ish, i would lead with a 3rd rounder first though before giving up a first. TK is a great player in this league and is only getting better, he's young and under control for a reasonable cap hit. He's a very attractive asset so he should be treated like one. Myers is still very young and has the tools, just needs to put them together. Maybe under a different system he returns to form.

If Savard is overpaid by $1.25 million it's not that bad. Braun's contract expires in 1 year and the hope is a young RHD can start to push Savard for the #4 job. Until then the Flyers have a stable NHL RHD defenseman to help their young LHD grow.
