realistic offseason moves

Description
Keep in mind this is in my opinion what the leafs should try to do (dosnt have to be exactly this but general idea) and remember FA always get more than they should. I am also a Blackhawks fan so I have a unbiased opinion

1. FIRE KEEFE. Gerard Gallant or Trochet would both be great replacements (gallant def preferred)

2. Sign Driedger or another goalie to help with the current situation. Not that campbell is a bad goalie but I have trouble wanting to rely on him for a whole season and Driedger is coming off of a very good season.

3. Trade Holl. This was not their biggest issue but I cannot see him being a competent top 4 dman on a championship winning team. I'd attempt trading him for a good bottom six forward (such as Boqvist) as he is young and would reduce some of Marners ice time causing him to be all around more effective. Although you would have to resign Boqvist after the season, at the moment you save 1 mil

4. Oleksiak or Benn would be amazing to have in the leafs defence core. I see oleksiak as the player signing with the leafs as he is 6'6 and a very well rounded defensive defence-man that can be beneficial to the leafs PK and shutdown lines. He is also born in Toronto so I meannn.....

5. Sean Kurally signing. He is a 28 year old forward who has been an amazing shut down man and physical presence for the Bruins for quite a few years now. If the Bruins don't resign him the leafs have to find a way to sign him as he will be an amazing asset.

6. also just resign Gally, Spezza, Bogo and call lilijegeren up to NHL along with Robertson.

Oleksiak easily gets more than that.

Almost $5M for Dreidger is absurd.

That third line would get killed.

Firing a coach, who has a history of being successfully, after only a year and a half is ridiculous.

Also if you think this is realistic, you thought wrong.

1. The coach has nearly zero blame on this years choke job, blame the PP coach if you want.
2. Driedger has 38 games of NHL experience, what makes him the safety net in goal? and at 5mil.. ?
3. Holl, at this point in time, is more defensively sound than Sandin.
4. Oleksiak is a good idea, I also think Nemeth is better than ppl give him credit (and would be a similar price point).
5. No chance Foligno signs for that much of a discount.
6. Boqvist is a downgrade on Kerfoot at 3C

Here are my thoughts on your opinions.

1. Firing Keefe fixes nothing. In fact I think he is an excelent coach. They do however need to change the assistant coaches as many of the systems run by Malhotra and Hakstoll were abysmal...

2. I really love the idea of getting Driedger and completely agree that we need a 1A 1B tandum next year. Driedger may price himself out though and him and Campbell would only have a combined 135 games or so which would be concerning..

3. Why would you trade Holl? Him and Muzzin was a great shut down pairing all season and playoffs.. He is great value at his current contract to imo.

4. Oleksiak would be great, but he had a great year in Dallas if i remember right so he should price himself out of leafs range ($1M or less). Either him or Benn would be fine. At the end of the day they would be replacing Bogosian and play the same style though so you're not really gaining anything

5. Kuraly is great, but at the end of the day it is still a depth signing and our depth guys this year were fine. If anything I think you would be better off not paying a 4th line winger $1.8M and instead get a guy like Simmonds or Perry who would sign for less than $1m

6. I like all those guys in the NHL as well
