Boedker is an RFA. Not sure how we could acquire him, as we don't have the picks to sign an offer sheet. You can't just sign somebody else's RFAs.

Tikhonov is already signed by Chicago, so....he can't be signed either.

Detroit is within 100K of the cap, so, even as a deadline deal, Sutter for Kindl may not even work financially for them.

This is 2016-2017 not 2015-2016. Boedker will be an UFA next summer, so yes they can just sign him.

Tikhonov will be a free agent next summer, so.... he can be signed.

if you actually read the trade it says "likely more parts to the deal." That means it wouldn't be Sutter for Kindl straight up.

Maatta for 2 Million? I think you're looking more towards at least 4 mill if not more for his contract.

Maatta is unproven. If he was healthy his whole career then no doubt 4 mil a year, but since that's not the case, I'd say 3 mil at best.

He may be unproven but he knows he's the best defensemen we have outside of Letang. He will most certainly use that as leverage, because there is zero chance we let Maata walk.

3.5 is the absolute lowest I see him signing for, barring another year like last year where he barely played.

If he stays healthy this year and is productive, he will likely cash in and make 4+ mil a year.
