Description
Sign Schwartz to a show me contract, since we know he is better than he showed and he will be able to increase his value playing alongside Tavares, Nylander, Marner and Matthews. Robertson and Schwartz can battle for the top 6 LW position and if they are both great then Hyman can move to the 3rd line and dominate with that albatross of a contract.

Reilly is a sad departure but send enough value the other way and hey you could get something worthwhile.

Unsure about Simmonds but if he can be had cheap enough I'd like to see him back. Bogo is far more valuable though.

Engvall can go or stay, I don't care.

Moving forward I would do all I could to pry Parayko away from St. Louis, which would be tough but hopefully he isn't super attached to that city, having already won a Cup there and they are trending down.

This should be Lilegren's year to show he belongs. Hutton and Lilegren can be the 7/8 D and definitely slot into some games. Hutton is a big body who has been effective and might be able to log some Muzzin minutes if he goes down again.

As for goalie, just get a pro. Broissoit is my choice but I'd take any number of goaltenders.

Don’t think Morgan Riley and company get you the second overall pick.

Reilly, Amirov and company is more accurate. I do agree it is a stretch but Reilly is from BC, not far from Seattle. Gets to live closer to home, in a beautiful part of the US and get taxed less. He would be signing there long term. In which case the trade looks decent. All depends on the mystery that is Seattle but regardless of the trade I created, I think Seattle is a likely landing spot for Reilly.

If Schwartz would be settling for a $4M deal, then he's not leaving STL.

You're not getting Parayko, but the reasoning you use is highly amusing, so thanks for that.
