Four Perfection Lines - Bruins reference

Created by: PensGM2019

Description
I was watching the Bruins vs Isles series last night and it dawned on me. Why don't the Pens just make 4 lines that mimic the "Perfection Line" with the Bruins?

Pasta - Goal Scorer
Bergeron - Faceoff winner
Marchand - Get in your face drive net guy

I get these guys are really few of a kind in the league but I think the Pens could build something to this model. I also think we have a lot of pieces in place already.

Lol.

No thanks on Perreault or Raffl. Pens can spend their money more wisely than that.

Amd what happens to ZAR. We just let him walk??

I wouldn’t mind a 2nd line of Poulin/Geno/Kappy.
And 3rd line of McCann/Carter/Simmons.
And 4th line of ZAR/Blueger/Tanev.

Pens resign Gaudreau too.

If Pens can get F.Andersen for 3.5M or less for 3 yrs, I’d be ecstatic with a Jarry/Andersen 1A/1B.

I just don't know if the team above you mention is "tough" enough.

Pens need some gritty guys.

Simmons adds. So does Poulin. Poulin is 6’3, 215 pound power forward.

Pens don’t need an overhaul. Just a tweak or two.

Simmonds is washed.
POJ has no business playing at the NHL level. All teams did was park in the front of the next on him and he couldn't do anything. It's why he got benched last season, and why he was bleeding goals all over the place in wbs.
Here is a reality check on POJ. He's 22 next season. He's officially fallen behind his draft class. A lot of players taken 1st round in his draft are already cemented in their role at the NHL level.
His play, last year, did not really show any real sign of promise of being an actual NHL player any time soon.
They have to hope he's a late bloomer to become anything, aka 23-24 or so.......
Because given the play last year, you won't see him. Players at 22 just don't make those kind of huge strides.
This is not a blueger situation either, where the team stupidly didn't believe in him while he was playing lock down hockey against McDavid in worlds and let him rot in wbs till he was 24.
POJ play isn't even close to being NHL level, he lacks the physical tools to be there.
