Really like this one. It's doable. Good talent on the team. Doubt Newark is on Bickell's NTC list though, but something similar could get him moved.
. I like the logical effort to rid yourself of Bickell's contract. But NJD have control. More like this....Bickell (half salary retained), Shaw for a 7th round pick. Know it is not. a fair trade, but there are few teams with cap space or few teams that want to go above their self imposed spending limit.
I don't know if the Devils want Shaw enough to accept Bickell. They'd probably like young guns like Danault or Hartman instead. Or Teuvo, but I doubt Stan will go that far.
But like I said, it's a moot point. Bickell has a NTC, and places like NJ or AZ aren't on his list of 8 acceptable destinations.

What teams would Bickell waive his NTC for then? Based off of your other comments on this site, it doesn't seem like he has eight teams on his list, if any at all.

A legitimate question. I can't answer that, but let's speculate...
Probably the usual candidates - NYR, TBL, ANA, BOS maybe MTL. Teams with success and/or a good reputation. Let's add Detroit and how about San Jose or LA? Something like that. I obviously don't have his list, so I'm guessing. But it's pretty damn sure places like Arizona or New Jersey aren't on his list. The Coyotes especially are a team you don't even know i they will be around for very long.
If you want to look at teams with cap space and are possible destinations, how about Florida? Good weather, low income tax, a bunch of former Hawks' players... it's possible Bickell has the Panthers listed.
