Realistic Jets Offseason

Created by: Slugson_Slugger
Team: 2021-22 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 9, 2021
Published: Jun. 9, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Explanation:
Assuming Maurice isn't behind the bench the young guys should play more. Play Ves and Gus since they have good chemistry, add Harkins since he fits a grinder type role.
-Trade with Seattle to prevent Appleton or Stanley leaving
-Sign a Harmonic or Larsson (I don't think they will) to add a bigger size dman to play with the smaller Heinola
-Give Stan a chance with Pionk as Forbort is probably gone
-Unless something surprising happens I don't think Samberg or Perfetti make the team out of camp
- Until then it's worth keeping guys like Statsny and Poolman just in case
-Brossoit might leave to be a 1a 1b on a rebuilding team so that means replace with Berdin
-Dont pay attention to the scratches as they can be replaced and cycled out with League min guys
-Changing up lines to make it more even as we wet the bed without Scheifele in the playoffs for the second year in a row
-Copp gets a bridge deal and they extend in the off-season when the cap goes up more
-Cap space still left if this doesn't work and the team wants to make a bigger trade

Stanley are Appleton are good players but not worth trading assets for. Just lose one of them and move on.

And I doubt Seattle is trading pick 34/35 to take Niku...
