Umm, yeah. Primeau is an NHL prospect and McNiven is likely to bounce around for most of his career.

Here's the problem with the Drouin-Wood trade. If Drouin's ailment is not explained, taking on the last two years of his contract makes no sense for the Devils. If it turns out it was some affliction that has responded well to treatment, Wood is nowhere near comparable value. So there's no real way for this to make sense until we know what's up with Drouin.

Fleury for a 4th is probably fair, though a sad outcome. It's once again a predictable failure of the Habs' player-development system.

I don't understand this statement, Fleury is only 22 most NHL D prospects are just starting to show their potential at 22 or 23. Cale will be a good 2nd or 3rd pairing guy within 2 years. Not every D prospect turns into a Weber or Petry type of player some become the Jordie Benn or Zack Bogosian types of players. I would rank Fleury above either of them.
