Like the defense; Kuemper should be here.

At this point it’s hard to deny Price will get one of the spots. I’d expect these 3, Price, Kuemper, and Binnington to get camp invites and I think the vets win the top 3 jobs (Price/Fleury/Kuemper) unless there’s a serious regression.

RD looks good but Canada loves having an equal leftie/rightie setup, so I don't think they bring in Weegar or Spurgeon to play their off-hand side. I’d put Chabot and Theodore in as 2 of the LD, with Chychrun/Nurse/Rielly/Girard/Toews gunning for the 3rd LD spot.

Agree with the forwards except I’d swap RoR and Couturier, they do basically the same thing but RoR is a little better imo. Lines might look a little different (if they don’t have at least 2 of McD/Mack/Sid on a line I might cry) but those would be my top 12/14 too.

I don't think he'll make the team but Weegar is actually more of a LD than RD.
Alfie11 liked this.

Yeah I know, but Canada is really picky about the way you shoot at the Olympics lol. In 2014 it was a 4/4 split (Keith/Vlasic/Bouwmeester/Hamhuis on the left, Weber/Doughty/Subban/Pietrangelo on the right) and in 2010 it was a 3/4 split (Keith/Pronger/Niedermayer on the left, Boyle/Weber/Doughty/Seabrook on the right). Even in 2018 when it was a bunch of guys even I’ve never heard of (for the most part) it was a 4/4 split lol. I agree Weegar doesn’t make it, but if he was gonna be in consideration, it would be for the 4RD spot because of how Hockey Canada rolls.

Not bad. I’d mix the lines a bit.

Huberdeau / McDavid / MacKinnon
Marchand / Crosby / Bergeron
Stamkos / Point / Marner
OReilly / Couturier/ Stone
Tavares / Barzal

The main difference between Couturier and Ryan O'Reilly is the fact that Ryan O'Reilly has a below average shot, while Couturier has a great shot.

I like it, but I think Stone has just been way too good to be on the 4th line. I made the 2nd line Huberdeau - MacKinnon - Stone for 2 reasons.

1. Having a 1-2 punch of the NHL's top 2 players is too disgusting not spread out between your top two lines.
2. Talking Hockey did a breakdown on how that line would be very similar to the dominant Landeskog - MacKinnon - Rantanen line.
