Description

It's ridiculous to think one team can sign this many UFAs in one summer, but that's part of the fun.

The Pittsburgh trade might not work and all you Pens fans can have fun making your "Pittsburgh DECLINES" comments as snarky as you like, but I don't think it's that crazy.

More than a few Oiler AGMs still place value on Kassian's combination of attributes and believe it or not I don't think Oilers management would want to make this trade (but obviously I would).

Oilers retain $450,000 making his AAV $2.75 MM which is exactly half of Zucker for the nice optics.

I have heard reports that Gino liked playing with Kahun and would like him back. He did quite well in underlying metrics this season but might like a return to beautiful Pittsburgh (a much cooler city than most people realize).

The 2nd round pick is a nice piece and the 6th round pick is included as a reminder of how badly the Oilers got fleeced on the John Marino deal!

That Kassian contract is yours. You got to swallow it, you sure as hell ain't getting Zucker for it. I don't care what other meaningless pieces you add. Teams hoping to find ways to make it back to the cup ain't taking that.
