    Hahaha.

Listen, I'm definitely on the "My wife doesn't love me as much as I love Josh Manson" train. I love him. But I also know that his value is as low as it's been. I honestly think the best possible return for him is if he's healthy, and they hold off until closer to the trade deadline next year and some swindle a Savard-type trade to someone that's desperate. Aside from that, I can't see anyone going crazy at this point.

You’re awesome man, hope your ducks get good soon. Zegras and Drysdale are some crazy building blocks. Shouldn’t take to long for you guys to get back on the map

You’re the type of guy that thought Jeff Carter & Taylor Hall were washed… look what a change of scenery can do

tears of joy Yeah, they're definitely a good start. Hoping for Guenther in this years draft, and then we'll see what happens next year. I think it's a pretty safe assumption that we'll have a lotto pick next year anyway, which, if it somehow ends up as a Wright, Savoie, Lambert type pick, is another good building block. I don't think saying "Hey, we're going to tank!" is good for anyone. If there's additions that can be made that improve the team long term, awesome, I just hope we don't sell off players for the sake of selling them off.

If we can't get a good return on guys, we're better off trying to re-sign the Manson/Hampus/Rakell types and using them as players to ease the kids in.

Very valid points. Mansons got the hockey IQ , was 5th place for Norris in 2016, he knows how to play the game, and Ricard Rakell (I call him Ricky racks) is one of the underrated under the radar players in the league.

Honestly I think Guenther is overhyped. Been watching him play for a while, he’s good but idk if he’ll be NHL caliber. I’d take a chance on a European or hope and pray somebody else falls to the ducks pick

I'll admit I thought Carter wasn't great value, but at half retention, he worked out really well for the Pens....though they still lost in the first round.
I don't think Hall is washed but I certainly wouldn't overpay him on a long term deal.

30 year old Silfverberg who had 16 points in 47 games and has a 5.25m X 3 contract.....yea does seem like negative value for sure.

Knew it. You gotta give these guys a chance elsewhere, it sparks them. And the Pens loss was no where near Carter’s fault he played great

I’m very much on the Guenther/Eklund train with 3OA. This draft is going to be a crap shoot, but those are the two that I’d go after. Not into picking a dman if it’s not Power, and I’m not super high on Beniers.

Eklund>Guenther I think this draft is better than people expect. Not too much hype around it and I think there will be lots of talent. Not great but good
