Description

Taking a gamble on the back end with 2 lower end left shots that would probably be a steady, not sexy, upgrade.

Seems very likely smith returns. Driedger would be a good 1a/starter to split games with smith.

Not sure if that package is enough for Hertl. Have to take into account SJ is rebuilding and offloading him also allows them to spend money elsewhere to help rebuild. Maybe throw in a Lavoie to get it done? Maybe, you get the idea.

Looks like a legit 3rd line that has a chance to score. Something this team has been lacking for years.

might just be me but im not in a hurry to give 3 mill and 3 years to a guy who has played 38 career games.
very small sample size could be a koskinen all over again....

Better than 3 years at $4.5....

Running joke was always:
Koskinen- I would like $4.5mil for 3 years
Chiarelli- Sure, $4.5mil per year and 3 year term sounds great
Koskinen- I meant $4.5mil tot.... I mean, great, we have a deal!

Agreed, I've always been hesitant on these that want to give Driedger real money after so few games. I think there's better bets out there.

I mean, I have the forwards pretty loaded here. Defense not a huge upgrade, but better. If driedger plays close to the same level he did last season we are looking at a huge upgrade on koski. Could be a decent lineup
