Why would Washington trade Holtby when they don't have cap issues and they are contenders, makes no sense to me.

well if they have to pay him over 6million why would they keep him? he had one great year but whats stopping him from being the next bryz. plus korn is the main reason his development has gone so well he could easily do what he did with holtby to jones. its no surprise that the caps bulked up their d and now he had a career year? not to mention that caps also have great goalies come out of their minor league system.

san jose would gladly give up everything to have a solid goalie i imagine they would make room for holtby. i mean they paid neimi that should answer the other question

oh and for the cap issue Carlson, alzner, wilson, kutz, and Burakovsky and probably latta will need some more money eventually and when you are paying your goalie 6+ you'll have cap issues.

(carlson will need around 6 million and he's top 3 points on the caps)

    examples........

    rangers
    hawks
    wings
    bruins

just saying id rather be able to sign those guys then have a slightly better goalie....

    like the ducks, flames, islanders

i mean shit price is cheap and he's the mvp
