Both Seth Jones, and Nikita Zadorov will be carrying less than ideal contracts with them wherever they go, rumors suggest that Zadorov wants a $5m or over deal with term. I don't think that the Blue Jackets will want to replace jones with someone who is less talented carrying a similar contract. That being said, if Zadorov is willing to compromise on both term and AAV then this may be a valid trade.

I may be in the minority, but I would accept this. I may use the pick in a trade for Eichel or Reinhardt but still.

Yeah the way I looked at it, zadorov would be useful in the 4-6 spots, and I really like Reichel as a potential top 6 ,the pick is 11th overall I believe so definitely could get a good piece there or becomes very useful in another trade..
Jones would be huge for the hawks, it would allow Keith to take a cut in minutes finally and probably be even more productive for it.
