Why are the Sabres paying Asplund to help you make the cap work. That doesnt make sense

I suspect he means Smith needs to be in the deal to make the cap work but then makes it an overpayment for just Eichel. Smith isn't a cap dump.

Sabres should definitely take the deal IMO.

Its probably the best Vegas can offer, but i dont think itll be the best offer

That really depends on what Adams wants. NHL ready players? Futures? A proven player +?

The best package depends on that direction.

Given that the Sabres have the worst attendance drop in the league (and by a long shot too), I think a package something like this keeps fans excited and at the rink.

Given it's 90% likely Fleury won't be there next season, there is money to fix that problem.

This is just how the team would look with Eichel in the line up without subsequent moves of significance.
