This is a fun ACGM.

Regardless of the pieces in the Eichel trade, something I wonder about him getting traded to any team is if he will be the same player after he gets the surgery he needs.
I see a lot of trades on here where people trade like 3 or 4 1st rd picks + a star player or two and to me it seems like a lot to gamble on him coming back 100%.
I think and hope he comes back just as good it's just something I think about.

I understand not wanting to be with an organization because of management or because they are on of the worst teams in the league for years.
That said I don't like when guys publicly talk about wanting to leave... Especially the captain of the team.
When Larkin is asked about the team having a bad year he just says positive things about working harder, believing in his teammates and getting better next year.
He knows the Wings probably won't make the playoffs for a few years but he still lifts the spirits of his team.

So while I hope Buffalo gets a good return for him but I see negative aspects of it that drive down his cost a little bit in my opinion.

I like the way Cirelli plays it'd be cool to see him on the Wings.

I wish the Wings could get Dougie that cheap lol.

Even with all of these moves and getting that close to the cap I don't see this team as a cup winner unfortunately.
I could be wrong on that. My playoff bracket has been busted like crazy the past 2 years.

I agree, the Defensive side of this is incredible. Both Wings need some work. The Center core here is what I'd be excited about. And when you factor in the "Long Term Outlook", the only players signed past 2023 are CORE pieces. Yzerman would be able to work his magic with the cap where it is. Not to mention, Eichel may be on LTIR all next year. Allowing the wings to "tank" for the stacked 2022 draft. Also, there's still a possibility that the cap begins increasing after next season. While this team may not be a cup winner, it has the pieces, youth, and flexibility to build one.

I have posted year 2 of this ACGM here: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/467220

This is what I mean when I say the cap situation and youth allow for more than you may think..
