MTL offseason

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Keep the team heavy but still mobile, while also adding some scoring punch. The only issue is the lack of cap space in 2022, when Suzuki will need a new deal. However, Chiarot and maybe even Byron's deals will be coming off the books then.

SEA trade: give up Kulak + 3rd to Seattle to make sure that they select Drouin.

ANA trade: Rakell is a heavier, more consistent, and cost-effective replacement for Drouin. The price is heavy but the Ducks should be interested in the pieces offered. I would maybe even switch out Ylonen for Mysak.

Danault turned down 5M/year, he wont accept lower.

You are 400k short on Lehkonen QO.

Seattle will have plenty of 3rd pairing Dman, no use for Kulak.

IMO Anaheim would want a ready to play player + futures for Rackell. It's a generous offer, but not what they need.

I agree on the other stuff except for Danault, I think that his value has dropped since last summer and he's not worth the 5m he was initially offered. He's been tremendous for us in the playoffs, but if he's only a shutdown guy then he's not worth 5+ imo.

I don’t think brocoli are worth 5$, but here they are... it's irrelevant, the market set the price.

Danault would get 5.5M on the market easily. CLB, SEA, MIN, etc... Plenty of demand for a reliable center who can take big minutes against firsts lines.

With the run the Habs are having I’m sure he’ll take a discount to play in his childhood team… 6x4.8

If you were right, we would be already signed, but he's not. And with "the run the Habs are having", his value is only going up.

I think he’s not signed yet cause of the expansion draft… I think the news that he signed will go out the day after the draft
