Stealing a couple of trades

Created by: RicXX
Team: 2021-22 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 24, 2021
Published: Jun. 24, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Oilers trades stolen from siegeell Oilers AGM. Hawks using their cap to aquire picks for taking on salary. Not sure if the Kraken trade would work, but was just looking to get a 3rd back for this year.

Boudin and Mitchell in the AHL to get a full season of play. Krys in the back-up slot on incase of injury, but one of them would probably get the call up.

I can't see the Oilers agreeing to this. We aren't really in great need of d men on the left side. I could see the trade less the 1st round pick being accepted but I doubt the Oilers would offer a first to unload contracts. They need to build up and coming talent on cheap entry level deals and I think that first round pick is worth even more in a flat cap world. So I doubt they would include that as part of a deal like this.

Jonathan Toews isn't coming back to play for a rebuilding team. After all he's done for Chicago, they owe it to him to give him the opportunity to succeed and be a perennial playoff team. With the cap space and assets they have, that's a real possibility. It'd be foolish for the hawks to take this route. They've sucked for long enough.

As I said in the description I stole the trade idea from someone else. I tossed in DeHann cause I thought their dump off was too lopsided.

Toews will most definitely be back! He will probably also tell why he took the year off.
