Mitch Marner is a superlative playmaking RW. His value is greatest alongside a goal-scoring center. We don't have one on the roster or on the horizon. (Trevor Zegras is more an all-round-type prospect.) Mikheyev and Engvall are essentially useless mouths, neither worth as much as the least valuable Duck in this proposal (Steel and Manson), and Liljegren is an untested and unproven (13 NHL games) RD prospect, of which we have two already. Meanwhile, you want us to give up a LW superior to Mikheyev, our best developing forward who led the team in scoring this season, and a goalie who solves your problem at that position for SIX MORE SEASONS. In short, this is a very bad fit for Anaheim's needs.

Don't see any real motivation for the Jackets to do that Jenner trade. If we do give him the rental sales treatment, we can almost certainly do better at the deadline.
