Thanks for the feedback on the last scenario.

Feedback was:
- UFAs were underpaid
- Too many UFAs in general (it's not GM Mode)
- Seth Jones for one year with Bouchard and Larsson coming back AND signing Hamilton is impractical.

There was also a reference that Mike Smith would be looking for $3M AAV for 2 years. In my books, that is too much. I also don't see him getting that on the open market. There are too many goalies available in trades (VGS, CLB) and as UFAs that even if Mike Smith wants that - Holland would be crazy to give him anything more that $2M on one year.

I'm flushing the Getzlaf / Perry dream down the tubes as well in this scenario.

So:
- Sign Hamilton $8.5M x 8 years - accounting for higher tax in Canada.
- > than Toffoli money for Saad
- One year prove it deal for Jaden Schwartz

Trades:
- Seattle takes on Koskinen and Turris for a 2nd pick.
- Kassian moved to a club looking for grit
- The CBJ deal is a new idea. If they move Seth Jones - they would need D. Boone Jenner is a guy I always wished the Oilers had drafted (Pitlick's year). Would they take on Neal (if we retained some salary) and keep him or buy him out? It would be a cost savings to us. Maybe we have to put a pick or a prospect in to sweeten the deal?

The defence is banking on Caleb Jones and Bouchard developing. Kris Russell is there for depth. Klefbom (again) pulls a Kucherov for us next year - and SEA passes on him as well.
