I actually think this makes a lot of sense for Buffalo. They get 2 great prospects in Glass and Krebs. At the same time they get 4 guys who are either close to being NHL ready, or are in the NHL. Lastly, they get picks, including a first (albeit late 1st). As always this is a personal opinion.

If I’m Buffalo I’m starting with Roy and probably asking for 2 firsts especially with how late Vegas’ is.

I don’t see any way Pitt makes that deal especially not giving up a first to bring back MAF, who will eat up way too much cap for them.

It's not terrible but if I'm Buffalo once I'm trading Eichel I'm in a rebuild so Smith only helps me if I can flip him for something good - and I just don't think that trade is easy to see

Buffalo counters with Eichel for Tuch, Krebs, the 2021 1st, and the 2022 1st. They don’t need Hague because they already have more left-handed defensemen than they can use, and they will be drafting Owen Power, Who is another left-handed defenseman. Smith would be a one year rental that gets flipped at the trade deadline for God knows what, so you can keep Hague and Smith and we want Tuch or there’s no deal.

Not a fan of either but the 2 pieces BUF is imo absolutely insisting on are Krebs and Tuch.
