In my humble opinion, as an outsider (i.e., someone you didn't ask), it strikes me that that package -- minus Neal -- would be required to get Ellis -- without retention. Both of the Nashville guys are proven quality NHLers at their positions (#1 pairing defenseman, third-line forward), whereas none of the Oiler prospects is a proven NHLer. i think that at the least, Nashville would just tell the Oilers to buy out Neal themselves.
