Trading Faksa for what amounts to a bag of pucks? And retain some salary? Yikes!
He's the best defensive forward the Stars have and as Montreal is proving, you need good defensive forwards to go deep in the playoffs.

It was meant to have a 4th as well, I guess it didn't register my click. The Faksa trade was meant to allow Dellandrea to get 3c time

Let Dellandrea get more experience playing on the wing. Faksa's a great shut down C and plays against the top 2 lines on other teams. He may not score a ton of points but his value is shutting the other guys down.

Stars aren’t trading Fox for a couple of scratch players. Dell isn’t ready to play center in the NHL. Four million for Forbort??? Top pair???

Doesn't have to be top pair but Forbort is a top 4 d-man, I put him top pair because I feel he would be a good fit with Heiskanen. Forbort was one of Winnipeg's best dman. Good shut down, IMO he gets 3-4 mil. imo based on how dellandrea played this year, he'll be ready for 3c next year.
