Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Holtby - Very buyout friendly
Virtanen - Termination over buyout (depending on breach of contract)
Myers - easier option between him and schmidt to pay SEA to take (might need to add)
Graves - lost to expansion draft, good value trade
Jensen - solid 3rd pairing D-man, will help PK
Drieger - MUCH better priced back up than Holtby

There will be a cost but JB can clean up some mess with an aggressive offseason. better D Line up, solid 3C and leaves room for young guys/AHL guys to play into the line up

Jensen is cheap and played incredible this year. He skates well and can generate really good puck movement. He’s worth a lot more than a fourth round pick. He’s not just a bottom pair defenseman.

It has been said over and over on here that there is no way COL trade Graves for a 2nd. They will then lose Graves plus another good player to Seattle for just 2nd pick. Not worth it for them.

Graves is their only d-man on the bubble of protection, EJ likely waives his NTC but SEA won't take him. so if you trade graves for something rather than nothing, who's the other good player seattle takes? Compher? that will help with cap space to resign Saad and Jost (who are better players) after Makar, Landeskog and Grubauer get new deals
Sherwood? maybe but that's not going to worry COL
all your solid prospects are exempt

Honestly I think COL should trade Graves, maybe the return is different but it will help them in the long run staying competitive now. they can re-sign their key guys and still have room to get a solid replacement in free agency
