Description
3-way deal with VGK and BUF. BUF takes a 2nd to retain half of Reilly Smith's deal. Probably an overpay for 1 year of Smith, but the idea is we get a good top 6 forward for cheap and VGK get to shed 5M. Buffalo acts as a third-party and gets a nice 2nd from it a minimum. Would probably need to shed Donskoi and utilize Kaut to have more wiggle room.

Smith is great, but there's no chance in hell that the Avs will be helping Vegas in any way this summer.

Smith is okay but he had a bad season and he's a 31 year old UFA. Also Vegas is in cap hell. They would probably only get the same third rounder they got for Schmidt.

That’s a massive overpay for One season of Smith a 1,2 and 3rd. NYI paid a 1st at the trade deadline for Palmieri AND Zajac.

He's always been a thorn in the side of the Avs, so I like him but my main point was that there's no reason to help Vegas out at all. Let alone give them another 1st rounder to include in an Eichel trade
