I think he’s gotta be 2nd or 3rd with Toews 1 and maybe Backstrom at 2 or 3.

I think as of now, you’re probably right. That said if toews doesn’t recover well, and marchand puts in another 2-3 years of what he’s been doing, i think he’s a clear cut number one.

I think people would always take the center and leader for 3 cup winners over a top winger and that’s not a knock on Marchand, but a testament to Toew’s two-way play that led to great team success.

Agree with center over winger usually. That said marchand has been one of the best defensive wingers in the league for a decade. He’s been to three cups. Ya, i know it’s not the same as winning three, but he’s had loads of post season success.

If marchand ends with over 1,000 points and toews is stuck around the 800 mark, i think the pick is marchand.

Yes, but going off precedence of nhl gm’s there’s no chance he goes over Toews.
