That's the absolute max I'd give Andersen at this point. He hasn't been good the last 2 seasons and keeps getting injuries.

Seems like far too much to spend on a bottom 6 center when your top 2 should be playing 42ish minutes a night

Add another mil to Hyman and 2 more years
That Wennberg contract is pretty bad, can’t see if getting that high an AAV.

You want Mikheyev gone and Simmonds on the PK? Rielly with Holl?

There is a lot that needs changing on here

What? You're crazy, it makes complete logical sense to overpay a bottom 6 C after fans spent that last 2 offseasons chucking Kerfoot and his "to high AAV" to the sun for nothing

None of you are wrong. It doesn't /need/ to be wennberg, and like some have said, if they can pry him away for 3.5-4.5 the remainder goes to Hyman. I have nothing against Kerfoot and have never thought he was paid too much personally, but with that being said I also think that makes him the obvious choice for Seattle. My reasoning behind Mikheyev going is just cause he's striking me as another Kappy. Great speed, not much of a playmaker, can't seem to finish on the Leafs. Would he do better if he weren't being relied on as a playmaker? Maybe, but do the leafs have the time to wait for that to happen? Maybe not. Simmonds was already signed to a cheap contract, so my assumption was he's a player the leafs wanted and therefore wouldn't be traded.

heh, I definitely looked at his total money earned instead of AAV when determining what to sign him for. Adjusted accordingly considering age/performance. The actual pairings weren't meant as 'this is the way they're deployed' for the most part. Just fitting in dollars. I re-allocated mis-spent cap on Wennberg to Hyman and kept Mikheyev even though I think he's making himself more and more expendable given Galchenyuk's ability to perform better with the Tavares line.
