Eichel doesn't fit in the Rangers plans financially, and his health raises to many questions. I don't think that is a risk a new GM is willing to gamble on, and Miller and Kakko are pretty much untouchable. You might get 1 but both is a no go.

Ristolainen, Rasmus
Kakko, Kaapo

PHI

Strome, Ryan

The Sabres end up much much worse. The Ranger break even although they have to deal with Eichels cap, CBJ robs everybody, and the Flyers are content all at the expense of Buffalo. None of those UFAs are signing in Buffalo with those contracts

Eichel very much fits in the Ranger plans financially. You just have to move Mika and Strome.

Did you think I was saying in addition to the trade listed above?

Rangers likely don't need to move any of Kakko, Laff, Kravtsov, Chytil, Lundkvist, or Miller to acquire Eichel.

know i understand that u move mika and strome in other deals but in the end, if u analyze what ur giving up to bring in neckiel... is a couple no1s, 3-4 prospects and to make room for him at C and cap wise mika and strome. Y on earth would we do that? rangers finally have constructed a team laden with talent, able to address the cap, and everyone is dismantling it to bring in Neckiel

Eichel + Chytil > Mike + Strome in terms of talent + cost + team control.

And you didn't have to give up any of Kakko/Kravtsov/Lundkvist/Miller to do it.

It's an easy choice.
