Sabres have plenty of RD in Risto, Miller, Montour, Borgen who can step in. As Hedman showed this year, if you have a stud on one side you don't need a stud on the other.

sneaky moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>That offer has absolutely nothing to make the Blues consider parting with two cheap key youngish players. Sorry.</div></div>
St Louis has to shed cap because they are already over limit and can't afford to sign Dunn since they signed Krug. The reason teams are moving key players at discount prices is because teams are too tight up against cap and can't move players with NTC, thus having to move younger players.

I want Vince Dunn
I think Dunn would be a great addition and could be a good pairing for Risto. I think you paid too much for in trade. If I were KA I would just offer sheet him in the 4.5million range and force St Louis to match. They may not because they just signed Krug who is a better version of Dunn.

Okposo on the other hand would require at least a 1st to dump in this market. Mittelstadt is an interesting option, but not worth a ton either.
Drop Brown and Okposo and the Kings would consider it.</div></div>
What about Okposo, Mitts and a prospect for Brown?

If you read description, Arizona players cap hit is 15.7 million but actual salaries equal 6 million. so real money is only around 71 million.

Fielding offers for Yanni Gourde
His value is solely based on what teams he is willing to go to and how much that teams needs a player like him... his return in trade would be mid level prospect and 3rd to 5th rd pick as Tampa can not take any salary back in deal.

Not too bad. Im not sure I want Reinhart for 6 years. I'd rather have Anderson at about 1.5-2.0 million cheaper.
Also rather than trading for Hjalmarsson, I would rather sign Borowiecki for a few years.

If Vegas wants to drop the Fluery contract for the next two years and sign Lehner, they are going to have to move a forward who has a fairly high cap hit. Tuch is the only forward who does not have any no movement clauses. His value is high so they can also maximize the return they get for him.

Yes Thompson is for sure a project who if stays healthy could be a good middle six winger. I only mentioned him because of Columbus needing a cheap winger with size to replace Anderson.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>benjgc</b></div><div>As a Columbus fan, I'm very intrigued by this, though I'm considerably higher on Roslovic than most of my friends are. I think it would need to be a 2020 pick, though, and perhaps even a second rounder; if Anderson's healthy, he and Wennberg are top-6 guys for Columbus. (Though Wennberg hasn't consistently been top-6 good.) If WPG sends their 2020 2nd, I think this represents an opportunity all the way around, though giving up both Copp and Roslovic seems unlikely for the Jets.</div></div>
I'm hoping that they want Risto so bad that they overpay to get him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Trevor31lv</b></div><div>I feel like this doesn't do anything for Columbus. Risto would play 3rd pair minutes for Columbus, so he's basically the defensive version of what we have in Wennberg right now (albeit with a year less term) Anderson is worth more than a 2nd 1 for 1 so I think that about cancels out the value of the extra term. I just don't see why with this though. Like, it's basically a lateral more value and contract wise, but Columbus is losing at w position of need and gaining at one of strength. I just don't see a reason for it from the CBJ side.</div></div>
Would you prefer a more cost controlled Tage Thompson and 2nd rd pick instead of Risto?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>That is an insane Anderson contract...</div></div>
I think that is the contract that Anderson would want after feeling underpaid on his last contract. Yes he was injured this year and had an off year, but there are not many players in the league like him.
Buffalo is the the type of team that can afford this contract and would be willing to pay it to get the type of player he is. It may seem like overpayment at first, but if you put him on the top line with Eichel he will give you 25 goals and 60 points a year. He also adds the physical part of the game to help protect Eichel. He also has the speed to keep up.
