Through trading Georgiev, Granlund & possibly Trouba. If Trouba has a good year, his contract could become tradeable.

Yeah might be a bit of an overpay.. But then again how much are you willing to give up for a young, franchise center.

And if Zibanejad asks for more than 8 million, I'd let him go.

So youre gonna sign Granlund to trade him? Yea thats gonna get you in the good graces of players in the NHL in the future during free agency. BTW, Trouba has a no trade clause, so you cant trade him even if you wanted to.

Oh, we go back to what we were then, a team with 1 good center and no depth down the middle. Yep thats gonna work our real well. Let go the heartbeat of the club, thats genius.

A young franchise center who has a serious neck injury along with a $10M cap hit in a flat cap environment. Take out Chytil and the 22 first and you probably have a deal.

Buffalo declines and its not even close. Ranger fans have a serious homerism with their players. Kakko has scored 19 goals in 184 games, thats like 4th line production. Chytil also hasnt produced. We know what Strome is. This is a bad deal for Buffalo

LOL...184 games you mean 114. Kakko has very good underlying metrics and is responsible defensively and improved greatly from his freshmen to sophomore campaigns. Him and Chytil produced fine for 20 & 21 year olds in their 2nd and 3rd seasons while being sheltered and limited PP time. Buffalo isn't going to get what they want and other teams are going to have to give up more than what they want.

Yeah, as I said, not a perfect Airmchair-GM. I signed Granlund mainly cuz I needed a 3rd line C after trading Chytil. Buffalo probably accepts without Chytil though, but didn't wanna disrespect Sabres fans.

Not perfect, its barely good... you have LAF on his off wing, you have Krav on his off wing, you have Howden and Blackwell still on the team some how.

Fair point. I don't get the Howden/Blackwell disrespect though. Blackwell was amazing for us last season, and he's making league minimum. Howden still young, strong on the PK, but had an off-year offensively.
