I can’t be the only one who thinks that’s an absolute ransom for Garland

a kid can dream. I think the trade and contract is fine. But they would never make this many moves in an offseason, cause they gotta "keep the group together"

I didnt wanna undersell it and get ripped apart. i based it off what the offersheet would be 1st 2nd and 3rd. changed the 3rd to a second and added a prospect.

That’s definitely fair logic. I just guess I don’t love the player tbh

Garland is a legitimate 1st line winger and a much better player than Palmieri. I’m praying this happens, apparently isles showed interest in Garland during the season.

I'd accept the Leddy trade. I think a 5th rd pick is worth a single season of Leddy.

I think they could maybe get a 4th or even a 3rd from a contender but im not interested in getting rid of an argument of what his worth is. He can still play top 4 minutes but NYI has other needs.

he'd fit in perfect with them. if they can free up the money they should absolutely go get him.

I think Beau has bought himself a career on Long Island with that goal he scored game 6. That’s a forever islander moment

Garland is better than Beauvillier but not by much. They have a lot of similar attributes - both elite forecheckers, great skaters, good on the cycle.

Agreed, he might get more from a contending team, but most contending teams can't afford his cap hit without sending cap back. That's why Detroit gets him for dirt cheap. He's still really good I think and he would probably fetch a half decent return at the deadline with salary retained.

i agree look at Staal last season he averaged over 18min a game. He also played in every game not bad for a 34yr old defenseman.
