The 2nd round pick should actually be a 2022 2nd and is conditional on Jones re-signing with Chicago, if he goes to UFA status then no pick is exchanged.
Subban either backs up Merzlikens or gets flipped because Kivlenieks takes on that role.

Strome has game , just needs to be more consistent , a former 3rd overall and he may look good with Laine. Zadorov another player who has shown promise but inconsistent, likely can be resigned to a reasonable cap hit. Subban is a throw in , if he won't get playing time he can be traded. You can make the conditional 2nd a conditional 1st based on Jones resigning. CLB may lose one of Korpisalo or Kivlenieks since they can only protect one in the exp draft.
Jones is worth more trade value wise but not if he is content to play out the year and test the UFA market. If a suitor talks to him and feels they can resign him then they may be willing to give more but some GMs may be gun shy to give full value

I'd agree strome is the only real piece in here with real potential but zadorov is a 3rd pairing guy at best, and subban isn't worth anything to the jackets. The jackets don't have to worry about loosing either korpi(protected) or merz(not eligible) in the expansion. The only goalie I believe could be exposed is Kivlenieks, but I'd be really surprised if they took him with all the other goalie options out there.
Lastly, I'd say if jones gets move for pieces instead of a valuable player(1 for 1), there will most definitely be a 1st included unless a huge prospect is involved.
