Sens say no in a heartbeat. They have too many goalies signed to pick up another in Vanecek, and they have younger and more promising options they'd like to give time to. Right now they've got Murray, Forsberg, Gustavsson and Daccord who are all ready for NHL minutes, with Sogaard, Mandolese and Merilainen also signed (the former two likely playing for Belleville).

But even more than that, Zub was their most consistent D the entire year. He's the only other top 4 D that they have outside of Chabot, and they're not going to trade him PLUS extra assets for a backup goalie. You're either overrating Vanecek or underrating Zub.
