FTFY - Wild

Created by: Diaspora
Team: 2021-22 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 8, 2021
Published: Jul. 8, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Eichel moves on to pair up with Kap in exchange for two good prospects and an NHL goaltender. Move is cap-neutral for Minnesota and leaves best current skaters in place while retaining both first rounders and picking up a decent LD prospect -- can use to acquire a new goaltender.

Reinhart stays in Buffalo and gets paid with handshake to move him to a contender after two years if he wants. Sabres have cap space to spare and a couple of reasonable pieces to move at deadline. Need help at RW until Quinn/Peterka arrive.

Draft Power or Eklund.

Although this does solve alot of Minnesotas current issues, Guerin has been vocal about not shooting a hole through their future, so not 100% sure that he would be willing to move boldy and rossi in a deal.

There's no reason for you to put Ryan Johnson in here ar all . Wild don't really need him.

Kaapo kahkonen isn't a prospect. He's too important to wild now, & future. He was a starter this year when Talbot went down

Ryan Johnson isn't needed . There no place for him anytime soon. Wild have Calen addison whose will be on team next year as 5d with Ian Cole or b. Menell as #6

In Iowa, Ryan orouk, Damon jones, dakota Mermis, etc.. there's no need for d anytime soon like years. So mo thanks to Kaapo kahkonen for a d prospect in Ryan Johnson wild don't need

So remove Kahkonen and Johnson, and the deal works?

Honestly do not know about giving up Kaapo, Boldy and Rossi (especially cause we do not have any future goalie prospects outside of Kaapo and assuming Lindberg leaves), but honestly if Buffalo wants to take Praise's and Rask's contracts off our hands im not one to complain, Praise does have a NMC though and I would assume it would only be waived if its to a championship team or so Buffalo can buyout the contract and then he goes to a championship team.

Still got two firsts. Might be able to get into top 10 with right partner.

Not like Parise really fits the plan here. Sabres can probably eat half the remainder ($2M) and flip Parise at $2M to a willing partner for a 7th. Maybe even to Minnesota, if it helps get the deal done (is that legal? after Kucherov, I don't know anything).

Honestly, I think that is the only way a Praise trade happens with a third team involved. No matter what you will have to retain 50% of his salary and even then its still not worth what he produces.
