You can keep Dermott but thanks for playing. We don't need anymore turnover machines here in det

90%of the time he makes the right play. Also he's 24 on a really good contract and you're giving up a 3rd. That is a very low risk high reward deal for Detroit

Everyone declines. You're either trolling or very out of touch on value.

? That is correct value for everyone except for Mikheyev who could be a 4th rounder

Engvall and Mikeyev are pure cap dumps. Dermott is a cap dump to most teams and worth a B- asset at most from a legit contender.

Rakell is worth more than that straight up, let alone with retention.

I'm going to assume you don't follow the leafs. Dermott could thrive in a top 4 role and a 3rd most of the time is nothing. Mikheyev could just go for a 4th, I'll change that and engvall is just a dump, so I took a 6th from a team that needs depth

Engvall will be a waiver pick-up. He's a 4th liner that makes about $200-300k too much for what he does.

The leafs will probably trade him for a 6th or 7th

I've watched a TON of the Leafs, I'm just not a fan, so I'm unbiased. Your hommerism is showing.

I made a couple tiny mistakes, such as a bit too much for mikheyev and a little too much for Rakell (although I've seen people say just a first with salary retained, so ot isn't that bad) but yes I am a leafs fan

Dermott makes WAY too many mental mistakes and is not worth his contract. If Leafs really believed he was a top 4 guy, every single ACGM wouldn't be trading him. He is a very skilled player with a below average hockey IQ that will ultimately lead him to never living up to his skill. There is a VERY long line of players in the history of the league that this has applied to.

Maybe, but he was very good in a sheltered role this year. Also, it's nearly impossible for him to not to liive up to 1.5 mill. He's 24 so as he gets older those mental mistakes will become less and less. I think Rielly was like that for a decent amount of time. And also, we trade him because he's the odd man out for this team

I'm not sure to who, unlikely to be the Oilers. Every team has a pile of Engvall type players (many who make less money) and will give them a chance to push for the roster at training camp and add UFAs for $1mil instead of $1.25mil.
