    1. Duchene, Matt
    2. Forsberg, Filip
    Additional Details:
Rids Nashville of the longterm albatross in Duchenes contract, by moving the last year of a seemingly upset Forsberg. Going by his massive thumbs down to Ardvisson trade. Nashville gets last year of backup Koskin3and final 2 years of Neal. Saving them 3.75 mil against the cap this year and a Massive amount of cash longterm. They get back a top prospect and 2 good picks. A risk for Edmonton, but theyd likely talk extension with Forsberg immediately. They should have the cap space available to do so.

I'd probably do it from a Nashville perspective. Don't know why Edmonton would do it though.

Koskinen + Neal are short term problems and have very manageable buyouts. Duchene had a down year but the year prior still wasn't worth 8M. I don't think Duchene is a good gamble for Edmonton but I'd gladly switch Duchene for Koskinen + Neal + 2nd to be rid of Duchene's contract before it turns more Toxic in Nashville. Koskinen can back up Saros this season and Neal can sit on the 3rd/4th line. Forsberg would be a great addition for Edmonton and I personally think 1st + Lavoie is a pretty good offer for Forsberg.

So Nashville gets 2 players that the Preds will immediately buy out for a total of $3.4 million, a prospect who won't be NHL-ready until 2022-2023 if ever, a 2022 first-round pick that won't turn into an actual NHL player until 2023-2024 if ever, and a 2023 second-round pick who won't turn into an actual NHL player until 2025-2026 if ever. I think Forsberg is worth more than that even if he is a rental and discounted by the Duchene contract.

Highly doubt they buy out both if either. They need a backup now. And they have the crazy Turris buyout on the books for ages, im sure they dont want to add to it. They likely bite the bullet and keep both. Let Koski back up Saros for a year then find a cheaper option if Askarov still needs ripening. And let Neal walk into the sunset in Nashville where he was a fan favorite during his time there. Id almost bet they wouldn't buyout either. So its the 1st, 2nd and lavoie for a year of forsberg who likely wont stay with Nashville anyway after his year is up. Nashville saves 30 million in this trade. That has importance
