30 year olds dont sign "prove it contracts". He just won a cup, he will be decently paid this offseason.

Your team is still in big trouble. What if a forward gets hurt and cant play for a few games? you dont have extra players or the cap space to bring anyone else in

Palat might get a second unless Tampa has another LTIR for the season. Teams will bid low since Tampa has next to no leverage in that trade.

Palat wont have the Oilers on his trade list. Winnipeg and Edmonton are on practically every no trade list
