If this was some other draft and the Panthers weren't contending, yeah, they would maybe accept. But this year's draft is bad, so no thanks. It would be a different story with, say, Wright or Bedard on the board

Imagine thinking the Rangers are going to give up Lafreniere now for a broken-necked, whiny, quitter Eichel now, when they refused to do so a year ago when he was just a whiny quitter.

Yeah when the rangers put the "respectable offer" last year it was reported to not include #1 or kakko. Doubt they pony up more now that eichel's neck issue has come into play. If anything the price went down.
