Description
Wouldn’t mind dishing out another mid level prospect if Washington was willing to retain more salary on Kuznetsov. i believe that this may be necessary if they plan on landing Landeskog and/or Ceci as I did in the mock.

Landeskog could potentially be looking for a shorter deal, so I could see him taking a 2 or 3 year deal at this price allowing him to hit the market again in his early 30s

In the Dumba trade, although Patrick and a 1st is pretty tempting, I think Dumba is worth slightly more so I decided to do a pick swap in the 2nd round to add a slightly better return, potentially eyeing an early 2nd round Defenseman such as Jack Peart

NHL Draft: Wild select Matthew Coronato with the Flyers 1st round pick. Might be considered a reach by some, but Coronato is a right handed winger which is so desperately needed by Minnesota and he is often mocked to Minnesota at 22. Depending on the cost to send Parise to Arizona for the buyout, Minnesota may be willing to part with the 14th pick and keeping the 22nd pick.

    Wild Protection list:
Forwards: Eriksson Ek, Fiala, Zuccarello, Kuznetsov, Patrick, Foligno, Sturm
    Defense: Suter, Spurgeon, Brodin
    Goalie: Talbot

This leaves Soucy, Kahkonen, and Hartman as the top candidates for selecting. Although Hartman is on a team friendly deal, I think it is really just between Kahkonen and Soucy and I believe they would select Soucy.

there is 0% chance of Landeskog wanting to sign with Minny if he hits market. That hatred runs deep

Also if thats all. he is asking for, the is an instant signing in Colorado, not enough to tempt him to leave. And no one is buying out that Parise contract, those cap hits are brutal. You are stuck with that anchor of a contract

Not once Michael Russo has connected Kuznetsov to wild because he's in the same boat as Sean Monahan in terms of bill Guerin having zero interest

Definitely agree on Landy. I don’t think there’s any chance he signs in MIN.

I’m not so sure on Parise. I think it’s very very unlikely, but there def is a case to be made for AZ when you look at everything. Parises actual salary is reasonably cheap. AZ is likely heading into rebuild (potentially dealing Garland, Kessel, OEL). They would have the cap room. They have a pretty bad prospect pool and no 1st this year. To me, it could actually be fairly shrewd if they can sell a rebuild to the fans.
